October at Peaceful Gardens – Shadow & Return
“The one we fear the most is the one we abandoned first.” —Anointed One
This month, as the days grow darker and the veil thins, we begin the Sacred Return by facing what has been hidden. October invites us to turn inward—not in fear, but in reverence—for all that is buried, forgotten, or hidden within us.
Through film and reflection, we hold space for what longs to be seen. We meet our shadow, reclaim our voice, and awaken to the deeper self waiting beneath the surface.
🎬 Featured Offering:
Movie Club: Cinema & The Sacred Return Journey
Fridays: In-Person* Film Gathering | 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Saturdays: Virtual Reflection Circle | 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
A deep dive into cinematic mirrors of Awakening, Healing, Integration, and Wholeness. Join us for film, conversation, and community soul work. Each weekend, we will explore a film that mirrors a stage of the inner journey.
You may choose to:
- Join us in person on Friday evening for a community screening (REQUIRED: commit to Saturday’s virtual circle), or
- Watch the film on your own time and join us virtually on Saturday for deep communal reflection.
💠 If you attend the Friday gathering, please honor the experience by also attending Saturday’s circle.
💠 If you prefer to watch the film on your own, you’re warmly welcome to join us Saturday for reflection.
These films—Us, The Deliverance, Talk to Me, and Sinners—offer powerful metaphors for spiritual awakening, shadow work, ancestral healing, and soul reclamation. Though not overtly spiritual, they carry rich symbolic meaning that speaks to the journey home to Spirit.
⚠️ A Note About the Films
The four films we are engaging with fall within the horror/thriller genre. They contain intense themes, imagery, and emotional content that may not be comfortable for everyone.
We are not watching these films for entertainment or shock value. Instead, we approach them as modern-day mythology—stories that mirror the spiritual journey of facing shadow, ancestral trauma, spiritual boundaries, and soul redemption.
If horror is not your genre, we encourage you to:
- Watch trailers or read summaries before joining
- Attend the Saturday reflection circles only (after watching the film in your own space or simply to listen and reflect)
- Choose a level of engagement that feels safe and authentic for your personal journey
We hold all choices with respect and trust your discernment.

November at Peaceful Gardens – Ritual & Remembrance
“If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you.” —Gospel of Thomas

December at Peaceful Gardens – Creation & Wholeness
“Don’t you know yet? It is your Light that lights the world.” —Rumi
As we enter the stillness of winter and prepare for the turning of the year, we gently integrate all that has been revealed. This month, we slow down. We listen. We create. We move.
Through art, embodiment, and nourishment, we create from a place of fullness—not urgency. Peaceful Gardens offers a soft, spacious container for creative expression, body wisdom, and spiritual integration.
